Since 2004, DogOn Fitness has focused on structured, fitness-based walks. Our handlers are hired for their energy and dog-handling expertise.

The Bethesda location is part of the established DogOn Fitness network and has deep local roots, serving families throughout the community with consistency and professionalism.

Yes! In addition, all of our handlers undergo a rigourous on-boarding process that includes a background check.

We use an online scheduling system, TimeToPet. You can access the app on your smartphone, tablet, or laptop to schedule 24/7.

Yes! We'll schedule an initial consultation to meet and discuss service options and learn more about your pup's needs. You will always have the opportunity to schedule a "Meet and Greet" for any newly assigned walkers before service.

No. DogOn Fitness Bethesda and Bethesda Dog Walkers are separate businesses with different ownership and founding dates.

DogOn Fitness was established in 2004 in Bethesda, Maryland, by local founders Carol Brooks and Lesley Smith. These two Walt Whitman High School graduates created the original DogOn Fitness exercise-based walking model and have continuously owned the business for over 20 years.

Bethesda Dog Walkers is a separate company, established in 2024, with different ownership. While it may serve some of the same geographic areas and may include some former clients, it is not affiliated with DogOn Fitness and does not operate under our systems, standards, or team.

DogOn Fitness remains the original, continuously owned business, with the same leadership, approach, and reputation that have been built in the Bethesda community since 2004.

Why is there confusion?
From 2009 to 2023, independent operators provided services in Maryland under the DogOn Fitness brand. In 2024, those operators retired, and a new, unrelated company, Bethesda Dog Walkers, was formed with some of the same clients.

DogOn Fitness continues under its original ownership and brand.
